Paragon Medical Featured in UGS Seminar

Paragon Medical, Inc., a global supplier to the medical device industry, was recently featured as a case study by UGS in their "Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for the Medical Industry" seminar. UGS, the leading global provider of PLM technologies, selected Paragon based on the tremendous success that they have realized since their transition to UniGraphics® in 2000. Paragon Medical Europe Relocates to Switzerland

Paragon Medical, Inc., Pierceton, IN, a global provider to the medical device industry, announced the relocation of their European division. Effective 7 December, Paragon Medical Europe, formerly located in Freiburg, Germany, will operate out of their new office in Lausanne, Switzerland. Greg Hall, Director of International Business Development announced that the move gives the European division access to resources in the Lausanne area to better serve our clients. Lausanne is centrally located in Europe and gives Paragon a connection to provide superior service to our European customer base. The company's continued expansion includes office and administrative support as well as engineering and production. Paragon Medical, Inc. Announces Hiring of European Business Development Manager
October 22, 2004

Pierceton, Indiana - Paragon Medical, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Kees de Louw as European Business Development Manager to its growing European division. Mr. de Louw will be responsible for all account management as well as provide strategic direction for Paragon Medical Europe.

Before joining Paragon Medical, Mr. de Louw has held several European sales and management positions in the industrial electronics most recently in service to the medical OEM marketplace. He has extensive experience in both start up organizations as well as growth companies. Mr. de Louw holds a B.A. degree in economics from Hogeschool Deidenoort in Wageningen, the Netherlands.

Paragon Medical, Inc. Announces Pierceton Expansion
July 23, 2004

Paragon Medical, Inc. this week announced plans to invest $50 million to expand its Pierceton-base into a four-building corporate campus over the next five to seven years. The project is expected to add about 300 jobs in two new manufacturing facilities and a new headquarters housing Paragon's main office and design and support functions.

President and Chief Executive Officer Toby Buck explains the plans are a direct response to customer needs. "The orthopaedics market continues to demand more of its Tier 1 suppliers in everything from design and development support to production and delivery. We want to create a campus that will be recognized worldwide as the source for full service among medical device manufacturers."

The company expects to break ground in 18 months on the seven acres it has purchased east of its current 110,000-square-foot operation. The new buildings will add roughly 170,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space and create a variety of opportunities for people of all skill levels.

"We will continue to have a high demand for talented employees, particularly skilled machinists as technology continues to evolve," says Buck. "We're fortunate to be located in an area with such a wealth of available talent."

In February, Paragon Medical, Inc. opened an office in Freiburg, Germany. It also has plans to add manufacturing capabilities there to better meet the needs of its European customers.

"Paragon has been an industry pioneer with our approach to provide more than a product, but a total solution," explains Buck. "Our growth both here and in Germany is an extension of our desire to completely meet customers' needs."

Paragon Medical, Inc. Twice Honored for Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship

Warsaw, Ind. -- Paragon Medical, Inc. capped a record year of global expansion and sales growth with recent wins in two major Indiana awards programs. On June 10, Paragon Medical's co-founder and chairman, Tobias Buck, was named the 2004 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Life Sciences category. This honor -- designed to celebrate the vision, leadership and achievement of Indiana's outstanding entrepreneurs -- was awarded to Buck with a nod to the success and continued potential of Paragon Medical.

Paragon Medical also was honored in May with a 2004 Mira Award recognizing the state's best and brightest innovators in technology-related industries. Mira Awards, given by the non-profit technology advocacy group, TechPoint, specifically noted Paragon Medical's contribution to Indiana's economy, its global recognition and the improvements it has made to quality of life in Indiana.

Both awards come on the heels of a year marked by major milestones for this growing company that include:

He made the presentation "Sheet Metal Design", which is the sheet metal module design capabilities of UniGraphics®. He explained how Paragon Medical, Inc. uses it and showed its functions. He also demonstrated why and how it has added value to Paragon Medical, Inc. customers.

Paragon Medical, Inc. recently received an Outstanding Customer Award from BP Amoco and was recognized as being a premier user of Amoco's Radel® R 5000 series polyphenylsulfone. Paragon Medical, Inc. is the only manufacturer of surgical case and tray systems in the world to have its own extrusion facility in-house. Utilizing Amoco's Radel® R 5000 series, the highest medical grade available, Paragon extrudes the Radel® R into sheet stock and then thermoforms it into case and tray systems for containing and transporting instrument and implant systems.
